The compact design with prismatic guideways arranged against each other ensures the highest stiffness and precision: A running accuracy of 1.0 microns / 300 mm, and this in a horizontal arrangement. The thoughtful, very compact arrangement of the enclosed air bearings allows an extremely stable unit. The entire unit is designed as a lightweight construction. The quill in this case weighs only 3.8 kg.
